THE ISLAND (3 POINTS) - CABUYA BEACH
Guanacaste North Pacific Surf Spots
This wave is only for experts with a lot of experience, it is a right wave. Here there are 3 breaks on the point of the island. # 1 La Ola del Arbolito; from the island of the dead there is a rocky beach 500 m long, the first is a right wave, in front of a little Mariquita tree. This wave from the break is a hollow tube with a thick lip – not recommended to surf it straight but to come down it is pure adrenaline. # 2 La Punta de la Isla; This is a right wave with a peak and a little wall, not a tube. # 3 Bajo del Silencio; 150m from the point of the island there is another point called Bajo del Silencio- it is a peak with a 15m ride. There is a dangerous rip tide with strong currents.
Access: only by boat, look for a fisherman or boat man with experience bringing in surfers.
Tide: works in low tide and you need to walk 150 m.
Swell: South- Southeast
Depth: Rocks.
Feet: 6 to 10.
Season: winter and with lunar movement, almost all year.
