How to arrive and leave

By Bus 

You can take a bus from the San José – Dominical / Uvita Transportes Delio Morales route, +506 2221-4214 +506 2777-0318 +506 2223-5567, stopping at Uvita beach, which takes about 5 hours. Services depart every 4 hours and operate every day the journey takes approximately 21 min


By Auto
From San Jose


Drive north towards Puntarenas on highway #27. Take the Pozón exit (towards Jacó), continue for about 100 miles (163 km) passing over the Tárcoles River, the towns of Jacó, Hermosa, Esterillos, Parrita, Quepos, Matapalo, Hatillo and Dominical. About 19 km (12 miles) after you pass Dominical, turn right following the signs for Playa Uvita, continue for about 2 km (1.5 miles) more until you reach the entrance to the Marino Ballena National Park. This route requires about 3.5 hours from San José.
