How to arrive and leave
By Car
From the international airport Juan Santamaria, when leaving here by car, take the route that goes left towards Puntarenas, until you get to some large petrol tanks that read Recope. In Costa Rica we call this point the (’Manolo’s Turning Point’). Then take the road to the right in order to cross the bridge turning left and passing by La Garita, Atenas, the Aguacate hills, San Mateo, Orotina, Tarcoles, Herradura, Jaco and at last you will arrive at Esterillos. The three Esterillos comprise of an extension of 24 kilometers. These towns can be found 22, 25 and 30 kilometers southeast from Jaco. These are all 2 kilometers from the road that borders the coast (Costanera). Esterillos is located in the Central Pacific Coast, 20 minutes east from Jaco and 40 minutes west from Quepos. People have to be very careful when swimming in any of these three beaches. If you are a beginner, don’t swim here.
